The compassion of a Child

Perhaps by now you've heard the story of the couple celebrating their one-year anniversary who were almost killed when a cow fell off a cliff and onto their minivan. It happened right here in Washington - one more thing we can be proud of.

This morning it was on the 8:00 news on our local radio station. Olivia sat quietly and listened to the report. I asked her if she understood, and then explained it again for her.

She showed me how much she really cares about these things:

"So was the cow okay?"

And not a word about the people.
